Twelve customers of Fidelity Bank Plc, on Tuesday February 20, smiled home with a total of N18 million cash prizes of the bank’s “Get Alert in Millions Savings Promo (GAIM)”, across the country.
The GAIM cash reward prizes ranging from N1 million to N2 million were given at its 4th monthly/2nd Bi-Monthly draw of “Get Alert in Millions Savings Promo (GAIM), Season 3,’’ held in Lagos. The promo produced 8 winners of N1 million namely, Ogedegbe Frank, OnyinyeIlori, Odozi Glory, IbomEbere, LovelyneChidozi, Chidnma Joan, Digidi Dunhill and Peter Obuh, .
Those that won N2 million each in the latest GAIM Promo monthly draw were EmmanuellaChukwuma, and Grace Seidel, while Charles Okoafor and Dennis Ezo won N3 each in the Bi-Monthly draw.
The winners were selected through a computerised and transparent simple random system and picked from the bank’s branches across the six geo-political zones. Like in previous draw since it began October last year. Members of National Lottery Regulatory Commission and other lottery regulatory bodies in Nigeria witnessed the draw.
Mrs.ChijiokeUgochukwu, Executive Director, Share Services and Product , said the bank still had N42 million left to give out in the course of the promo. Ugochukwu, who represented the MD/CEO of Fidelity Bank Plc, MrNnamdiOkonkwo, at the event said the promo which started in October 2018 would end in May, 2019. “We started this journey in October 2018. At today’s draw, we will be giving out N18 million to 12 customers. “At the end of this draw we would have given out a total of N68 million in cash and 72 consolation prizes to over 100 winners, counting from the previous draws held before this fourth one in this season 3 promo. And we still have N42 million to give out in subsequent draws up till the end of the promo in May,’’.
Speaking on how to participate in the Promo, the Group Head, Savings and Retail Sales who double as Chairman of the promo committee, Mrs Janet Nnabuko, said one must have an account with the bank to be legible to participate. “You must have a savings account with Fidelity bank. Existing customers are expected to top-up their account with N10, 000, while new account holders are to open with any amount, and grow the account to at least N20, 000 and above, to participate in the monthly draws. “For the Bi-Monthly draw, you must grow the account to at least N50, 000 and above. “Any of the two categories of the draws could fetch you either promotional gifts, N1 million, N2 million, or N10 million respectively,” she explained.
Similarly Mr Richard Madiebo, Divisional Head, Retail Bank, expressed satisfaction with the promo. Madiebo said the bank had registered over 300,000 new customers since inception of the promo, adding that more potential customers are still expected to declare interest in the promo.
In the last draw which took place in December last year also in Lagos, the bank had doled out N19 million to 13 loyal customers in the Get Alert in Millions Savings, GAIM season 3 promo.

In the last event which had theManaging Director of theBank Okonkwo in attendance, he had disclosed that the promo was the eighth edition conducted by the bank in the last 11 years. He had noted that at the end of the promo, the bank would have given out a total of N76 million in cash and other consolation prizes like refrigerators, television sets and generators to 62 winners.
Beyond the cash prizes and consolation prizes of household electronics, the bank has also given out airtime worth N1.8m to 1,400 customers.
The bank said the focus of the promo is to improve the standard of living of its customers and to strengthen savings culture and that it also allowed the bank to go into the `nooks and crannies’ of the country to enlighten people on financial inclusion.
The bank it could be recalled had over the years initiated such promo as a way of appreciating its teeming customers. In 2012 the bank unveiled Cash and Car Savings promo whereby 25 cars and N25m were given out to customers to mark the bank’s 25th anniversary. Again in 2014 the bank initiated Save and Scholarship promo where it doled out N80 million in scholarships to its customers.
Apart from the customer saving promo the bank also recently introduced some electronic cash transaction promos which include transferring foreign exchange through mobile phone as well as a chat banking platform where a customer can chat while banking.
