Between Friday, November 7, 2020, and Friday,, November, 20, 2020, the United Bank for Arica, UBA, plc, popular, Pan African Africa, Customers ,may not enjoy the usual 24 hours service in the bank digital channels across the country.
This is because operations at the digital channels would be disrupted throughout the period for the scheduled maintenance to ensure better performance as obtained in other parts of the world. The Value News learnt that the digital channels would be disrupted for about seven hours the 13 days that bank will undergo the system maintenance.

As a prelude to carrying out the planned maintence programme, the bank officials were said to have prepared the mind of the Customers for it. A document cited by the Magazine shows that the bank had informed the Customers about the disruption of services due to the system maintenance. ‘’To ensure that Customers get the best banking experience , we will be carrying out a scheduled system maintenance, from 11 pm to 6.00 am’’, an interval of seven hours for the 13 days of the system main tenance’’, the bank had said.

Appealing to Customers to bear with the situation, the bank, according to insider sources had promised to be back as scheduled. ‘’We will be back as schduled’’, the bank had assured. While Kennedy Uzoka, the Group Managing Director of UBA plc and his Management Team , are doing everything within their capacity to ensure that Customers of the bank enjoy the best of banking services without tears, Bola Atta, the Bank’s Head, Corporate Communications was said to have been selected to be among the 100 panel of Judges that will determine the winners of this year’s prize for APO Women in Journalism Media award.
The award which, recognizes , celebrates and empowers African women in the Media also supports female entrepreneurship throughout the African Continent, according to insider sources. The list of the panel of Judges for the APO Group African Women Media award , were Corporate Communication experts from other reputable Organisations across the world.
Mention were made of Naomi Campbel and Harley –Davidson also. The trio are to be joined by top Executives from other diverse Organisations like Microft, African Development Bank, ADB, , FIFA, Coca Cola, Master Card, Harley- Davidson,LEGO Titter among others.
The Media Award which is organised by APO Group, described as one of the leading Pan- African Communicans and Business Consultancy outfits , will host the YEARLY prestigious award through a virtual conference from December 2, 2020, with the Theme: Reimaining in Business and Rebuilding it better.
The Magazine was informed that Judges will be asked to select the winning Journalist , who will then be announced at the 6th African women Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum’s Virtual Conference from December 2nd to 3rd, 2020. Described as the largest and most influential panel of Judges ever assembled for an African Media Award , it reflects the importance of recgnising gender equality in business and the Media. It is instructive to note that the award ‘’to African female Journalists whose stories were broadcasted or published between 1st January ,2020 and 31st December, 2020.
