Africa: The Shame of France, Other EU, Countries and the US

 By Our Reporter,

With barely three years after Ibrahim Traore, an Army Captain and interim President of Burkina Faso, teamed up with Generals Abdulahi Rahmane Tichiani of Niger and Assimi Goita of Mali, to denounce colonial and military deals with France, the former colonial master, the Union, EU, as appears unsettled as they move to destabilize the Alliance for Sahel States, AES, to render the region powerless.

President Macron of France

President Emmanuel Macron of France, who was said to have made several unsuccessful attempts to kill the Burkinababe interim President and even penetrating the ranks of the AES country youths to protest against Capt. Traore, to force him to step down and allow for Democracy to return may have  intensified the funding of JMI, terrorist Organisation to match to Ouagadougou, the Burkina Faso Capital to arrest the Army Captain and drag him to Paris, Capital of France for trial  and install a puppet Leader in the country  that would be answerable to the former colonial master   but no luck.

The  leadership of the EU, were said to have recently met with the policy makers of the Economic Community of West African States , ECOWAS, in  Brussels , Belgium, where a whopping sum of €126 million had been approved for the Economic bloc not to build infrastructural facilities in the West African subregion  but to strengthen its military  to counter the military strength of Traore and the other Sahel States , junta Leaders to pave way for the French mining companies to return to the region

Capt. Traore , who had been under the watchlist of France and the US, for elimination using other West African countries Leaders like Alassane Ouattara of Cote de’ Ivoire and Patrice Talon, Republic of Benin, a neighbouring country to Nigeria, may have seen the recent invitation by  his  Beninois Counterpart to him and the other  Alliance for Sahel States, leaders to the country’s Independence from France in Cotonou, the country’s Capital, as a bobby trap  and  had turned it down.

President Talon of Republic of Benin, invites Capt. Traore, Burkina Faso’s Junta Leader and two other AES, Leaders but allegedly turned down.

The Beninois government invitation to the tree AES Leaders, was said to have come barely two days after 50 military personnel and loyalists of Cap. Traore were ambushed and killed by the French backed jihadist group, JMI, to silence him and end the revolution in the AES.

Meanwhile Julius Mada Bio, President of Sierra Leone and Chairman of ECOWAS, who had replaced President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria, whose country was on the travel ban list by President Donald Trump of the North American country of the United States, US, who was said to  have  called for institutional order in the West African subregion on assumption of duties appears to be prepared to make peace with the AES Junta Leaders.

President Trump, invites Capt. Traore to the Whilte, the Seat of Power in US, but allegedly turned down

He was said to have made moves to ensure that the AES military Leaders return to the ECOWAS, subregion, in line with his policy thrust of ‘’restoring institutional order and deepening democracy in the region, revatilising regional security cooperation, unlocking economic integration, and building institutional credibility’’.

While the French President, who has penetrated the ranks of the Authority of Heads of States and Governments of the ECOWAS, and still doing everything within his powers to pull down the Burkinababe Leader, described as a bad influence in Africa, the US, President is not done with looking for ways to kickout the Burkinabe Leader. He was said to have sent a letter of invitation to him to visit the white House for talks, that would be beneficial to both countries. He had expected him to jump at the invitation, when the Sahel State is on the travel ban list to the US but got it wrong.

Capt. Traore, the Burkinabe Leader, who had earlier been advised by the US President to listen to the French President and who had put him and the other Sahel States Lears under pressure to allow the French companies mining gold, uranium and other mineral resources in the region to return, may not have wanted to play into the hands of President Trump.

Capt. Traore, of Burkina Faso talks tough, wants US, government o apologize for using Gen. Langley, to lie against him of diverting the country’s gold resources for personal gains and security

He had no option but to turn down his invitation insisting that the US government must apologise to the Burkina Faso government publicly over the lousy comments by Michael Langley, the US, Army General and former Commander of US Africa Command, that the Burkina Faso Army Captain and Junta Leader is’’ diverting the country’s gold reserves for his pecuniary gains and security’’.

President Trump, who would not take it from the Burkinababe Leader, was aid to have continued piling up pressure  on the Burkina Faso, interim President to have a rethink on the US and turn his back on the Russian Federation , currently at war with the neighbouring Ukraine and the Asian country of China, which was said to have also  targeted to reclaim Taiwan, as one of its new regions, against the wish of the US and the United Kingdom, UK, which had exercised it from China and made it one of its colonies and later granted it autonomy as a country but not on the world map.

It would be recalled that a similar invitation by President Trump had been extended to President Cyril Ramophosa of South Africa and five other African countries’ Leaders at different times.

The five African Leaders who were said to have been invited to the White House, by President Trump include.   Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema of Gabon, Umaro Sssoco Emalo, Guinea Bissau, Mohammed Ould Chazouani of Mauritania, Joseph Bokai, Liberia, and Bassirou Diomaye Faye of Senegal.

The African Leaders, described as friends of the US, government were said to have been invited by  Trump because they’’ hail from vibrant African countries with very valuable land, endowed with great mineral resources including oil deposits’’ , which many believes would be of interest to the US, heavy industries including is automobile and shipping Companies.

The African Leaders like their Counterpart in South Africa who may have jumped at the US President’s invitation may have bargained more than they can chew, going by the Gabonese President remarks.

President Nguema, may not have been carried away by the lavish treatment given to them by the US President, who has no regard for the African Continent, that he had told him that his country’s mineral resources and oil deposits are no longer for free mining by companies from the Western nations. He may have alluded to France and the US, stressing that his country is ‘’open to investment and wants to see its raw mineral resources processed locally for the benefit of the people’’.

He may have made President Trump to understand, that though the five African Presidents invited by him are from countries with ‘’rich mineral resources   but what they needed are partners to support the African countries develop these raw materials with win-win partnerships and not otherwise’’.

The message was very clear that Africa is awake and will no longer been taken for granted by the Western powers as a Continent for sourcing its raw materials used for its development as the African Continent, particular, the Sahel Staes of Burkina Faso, Niger and Mali, remain poor and underdeveloped, with no reliable power supply.

The situation appears to have been different in the last three years, since the Junta Leaders of the Sahel States had a rethink over their countries’ relationship with France and other European Union countries including the US, Canada and Australia to take over full control and mining of their mineral resources and establishing trade deals with Russia, China and other friendly countries including Egypt, Algeria and Ghana, all African countries, described s a big blow to France, particular, which sees the AES , ‘’mineral resources as its own for mining and export’’.

President Vladimir Putin, the Russian Leader, who had been under attack by the US and the NATO , Leaders for finding his way into the African Continent may have sent a signal to the International Community, that he  and his home country, Russia, do not have any  ulterior motive in the  African Continent  like France, which had colonized 22 countries in the Continent or the US, which are after the raw materials it could get  but basically to help the African countries liberate themselves from the Western powers.  He was said to have deployed over 100,000 Russian troops, to defend and protect Capt. Traore, whose country, Burkina Faso, has been labelled as a breathing ground for Terrorists which had spread to Nigeria and other African countries by the West.
