In a bid to strategise and strengthen its operations both within and outside the country, the Board of Directors, of Heirs Insurance Group, a subsidiary of Heir Holdings founded and led by Tony Elumelu, a multi-billionaire business mogul, has appointed the duo, Ibrahim Puri and Sonny Iroche, as Independent Non-Executive Direectors into the Company.
An insider told The Value News that Puri, until his appointment into Heirs General Assurance Board as an Independent non-Executive Director of its Non-Life Insurance outfit, he was an accomplished financial leader, with over 30 years of experience in Banking, Fintech and FMCG industries.
The source had confirmed that he was a Group Executive Director at United Bank for Africa, UBA plc, a Pan African Bank, under the Chairmanship of Tony Elumelu, a multi-billionaire business mogul and philanthropist. He was also said to be on the Board of Red-Tech and Nigeria Breweries, a Multinational Company. Financial experts expects him to bring to bear his wealth of experience and deep understanding of the African financial industry and the ability to navigate complex market dynamics into the Heirs Life Insurance Company.
Iroche, another appointee into the Board of the Heirs Life Insurance Company, Heirs General Assurance, as an Independent Non- Executive Director, the i source disclosed has over four decades of experience in finance, investment promotion, and economic advisory.
Until his new appointment into the Board of Heirs Life Insurance. Heirs General, he was said to have served as the Executive Chairman of Strategic Alliance Promotion company. He was said to have also served at various Leadership positions at the Transmission of Nigeria, TCN, and United Capital plc. He was said to have also served as a Special Advisor to the Board of Governors of the African Leadership Institute,AFLI.
Elumelu, Chairman, of Heirs Holdings, had said that the Board is pleased to welcome Puri and Iroche, to Heirs General Assurancce. The multi-billionaire business mogul, noted their ‘’exceptional Leadership and track records of success will further assist the company in executing the Group’s vision of becoming ‘’Nigeria’s foremost, trusted and innovative insurance firm’’.
An elated Elumelu was said to have further stated, ‘’I know that their expertise will enhance Heirs Insurance Group’s position, as an industry Leader, ‘’ delivering exceptional value to all stakeholders’’.
There is no gainsaying the fact that Heirs Insurance which is an arm of Heirs Holdings founded and led by Elumelu, the multi-billionaire business mogul , is a rapidly expanding retail footprint and an Omni channel digital presence, Heirs Insurance Group, comprising Heirs General Auurance Limited, Heirs Life Insurance Limited, and Heirs Insurance Brokers, which serves both corporate and individual customers across Nigeria.
