JIFORM Appoint Country Coordinators

The much publicized Journalists International Forum For Migration , JIFORM, a new Organisation of Media practioners, has appointed country coordinators and other officers to oversee its operations.

It is a  Foundation that champions regular migration and anti-human trafficking crusade on the globe.The appointment includes those of two legal practitioners to handle it’s legal matters and other migrant related issues.They are , the Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ikeja branch, Rosslyn Obakpolor and  Wale Ogunade, an activist and legal Practioner.

 Ajibola  Abayomi,  President, JIFORM, in a Statement issued in Lagos,  said  the appointments became imperative in order to reposition the organisation for the challenges ahead as an  advocacy Group. The General Manager, Radio Nigeria Bronze FM, Benin City, Mrs Bimbo Oyetunde , General Manager, Radio Nigeria, Bronze FM, Benin City, was appointed the  Vice President, West Africa; Zambian journalist, while Juliet Makwama, a Zambia Journalist got appointed as the  Secretary General and Kunle Adeniyi of KISS FM Abuja, the Assistant General Secretary.

Other appointees of the Association  include Willie Mponda a Line  Editor  with The Sun Newspaper, Zimbabwe Coordinator of JIFORM in southern Africa. Megan Janetsky, Coordinator America; Massinissa Benlakehal an Algerian journalist based in Tunisia is to Coordinate Northern Africa. Adam Jobe from Chronicle Newspaper will Coordinate Gambia while Fred Smith Kuku, Coordinates, Ghana

Two persons a United States, US, based journalist  Eric Chinje, Migrant Counselor and a migration expert based in Germany, Veye Tatah, another Migrant expert based in Germany were also appointed as Advisers.

Sunday James, a Deputy Comptroller, and the National Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Immigration Service, NIS, was said to have been appointed the the Chief Coordinator of Programmes,  Ikechukwu Anthony Kanu, a Professor as the Director Research and Content Analysis , The last . The last but the least of the JIFORM appointments was Rasak Bamidele and Adeola Ekine, Nigeria Association of Women Journalist, NAOJ,, Lagos state Chapter  as Regional Director of Publications, and Women Coordinator, in Nigeria, respectively.  As a prelude to ensuring proper Coordination of its operations, the Association was said to have concluded arrangements  to unveil its Website soon. This is good news for those who might want to know about JIFORM  and  how to reach out to the leadership.
