Barely two months to the end of the 2023, fiscal year, members of the National Assembly Joint Committee on Finance , Appropriation , National Planning, Economic Affairs and Foreign Debts appears set the stage to start the 2024 fiscal year, on a good note.
This may have informed why the Committee had initiated public hearing on how to implement the 2024-2026, Medium Term Expenditure Framework , MTEF,and Fiscal Strategy Papers, where the Chief Executive Officers of government owned Parastatals and agencies are made to participate in the discussions on how to implement government policies with long and Medium Terms effects in focus.
Bashir Jamoh, OFR, Director General, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, was said to have participated in the discussions which was said to have brought him closer to other top government functionaries.
One of the top government functionaries that the NIMAS Chief Executie Officer, CEO, was said to have had the opportunity and meeting and exchanging ideas was Zacch Adedeji, the Executive Chairman of Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS. Another person the NIMASA boss was said to have met one on one and exchange pleasantries was Sani Musa , the Chairman of the Committee on Finance.
The Senate President may have told the discussants at the public hearing organised by the National Assembly Joint Committee that ‘’all hands must be on deck to ensure the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Administration Renewed Hope Agenda.
