Given the importance attached to the all-important peace meeting to end the over three-year-old tragic war between Russia and Ukraine, Donald Trump, the North American country of the United States President and his Russian Federation Counterpart, Vladimir Putin, met in Elmond dot Richard military Alaska, amidst tight security, despite protests that had erupted at against the Trump initiated peace meeting by the Ukrainia citizens based in the US , insisting that the American President cannot negotiate for them.
Informed diplomatic sources had confirmed that Trump had come to the Alaska meeting with his own chair in order not to be told where to sit. He may have come to the meeting fully prepared because of the several phone phones between the EU, Leaders and Trump prior to the meeting.
This may have encouraged him to attend and listen to the talks of the two parties but was said to have refused’’ to compromise Russian security.’’. He would want the EU Leaders to speak with respect and not through intermediaries who speak with both sides of their mouth stating that ‘’’’the world is not a stage for political theatre’’. The Alaska meeting in the words of Trump, though he could not achieve his purpose but had vowed not to relent in getting the warring parties to embrace peace at all cost.
Trump, who was full of’’ appreciation to the Russian Leader for not turning down the invitation for the Alaska meeting, an indication that he wants to end the bloodshed, had described it as ‘good’, despite the European Union, EU, Leaders, hatred for him for entering into Africa because of its rich mineral resources and other rare earth elements.
He would want Volodymyr ‘’Zelenskyy to count himself Lucky, noting that if he is not the American President, the situation in Ukraine would have been very worrisome as Ukraine would have ceased to be on world Map as a country because Russia would have annexed the entire country.
The US President may have given his words at the start of the discussions with Putin that if after five minutes in the meeting room and there was head way in getting the Russian Leader to agree in ending the tragic war he will storm out but if it drags on for long, it means ‘’there is hope of reaching a compromise and possibility of conveying another meeting that would involve the two waring east European countries Leaders and the EU, to shake hands of stopping further bloodshed. However, he was said to have spent over an hour with Putin in the meeting room.
The talks may have been stalked as Putin had demanded Ukrainian Forces withdrawal from Donestk, Kherson, Luthansk and Zaporizhia, currently occupied by Russian Forces, as he had declared that it had been annexed as part of its territories.
T President Trump, as a typical business man and deal maker would want Zelennskyy and his EU, leaders ally to forget about these four regions of Ukraine that had been annexed by Russia and manage the other regions still being administered by the country or risk losing all to Russia and cease to be an independent nation.
The meeting may have ended on sad note as Putin was said to have sent a message to Trump and Zelensky, who he had described as a puppet of the US, helping other EU, Leaders across the Atlantic to spy on Russia.
The Russian President, who had described Trump as ‘’a nice man’’ had said that they shook hands before finally settling down for talks. In the course of the discussions, tempers may have risen as the Russian President was said to have told his host that ‘’ Russia is ready to work with the US to end the war with Ukraine but not taking orders from Kyiv or Washington, insisting that he is not ‘’afraid of dialogue’’.
He was said to have told those that cares to listen that though Trump’s intention is to make US, great again but that Russian is greater which may have informed why he had said that ‘’the bear stands tall when challenged’’.
Until President Putin gave a soft landing to Putin to visit the US through the Alaska peace meeting, he was said to have been banned alongside Kim Jong Un, of South Korea and Nicholas Maduro, a former President of Venezuela, in 2014, by Barack Obama, a former US President.
Putin was said have been banned from entering America because of his’’ assertive leadership style, aggressive military action and annexation of Crimea region belong to Ukraine in 2014 and his confrontational Foreign Policies by the then President Obama, now a strong critic of the Trump’s administration’s economic and immigration policies.
It would be recalled that the immediate past US, President, Joe Biden, may have followed the footsteps of his Predecessor, Obama, as he was said from the onset to have refused to Cooperate with Putin as he had thrown his weight behind President Vo Zelenskyy to defeat Russia in the ongoing war with supply of weapons and release of funds to sustain the war.
Suffice it to say that President Trump, had chosen the path of peace as he was said to have ‘’suspended delivery of military of all US military aid to Ukraine’’, blocking billions in crucial shipments to end the Ukraine-Russia.
Why President Trump was said to have opened a channel of communication with Putin from the he early days of the Administration to end the tragic war, that had claimed millions of lives just as the Russian Leader had singled out Keir Starmer, the British Prime minister as an instigator and do not want the war to end.
He has his reason. Barely 24 hours, after Zelenskyy, the Ukrainian President returned from Berlin, Germany on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, where had held a meeting with some European Union, EU, Leaders, he was said to have deployed 60 drones that entered Russian two regions on Thursday, Augus 14, 2025, killing many people.
The EU, Leaders who said to be at the Berlin meeting organized by Friderich Merch, the German Chancellor, were Presidents Emmanuel Macron of Fance, Sergio Mattarella, Italy, Alexander Stubb, Finland, Karo Nawrocki, Poland, Starmer of Britain and Mark Rutte, Secretary General, EU, among others.
Given that Macron, the French President and some of these other European countries leaders , who wants Zelensky’s Ukraine to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation, NATO, are seriously facing serious economic challenges, particular, France, which had been rejected by some of its former colonized countries in the African Continent where companies from the country had dominated the mining and export of the former colonized nations’ uranium, gold and other rare earth elements claiming ownership while the African countries had remained poor may have informed why the EU, Leaders had supported Ukraine to sustain the war .
President Putin, may have sent a message to Merz, Macron and Starmer, the British Prime minister, when he quickly responded to the recent Ukrainian attack, capturing 20 of the NATO soldiers, three top s Commanders and one M16, on spy mission in Russia from Britain.
Starmer, the British PM, would want Putin to treat the arrested British soldiers as ‘’Tourists’’ who wants to get on the spot information on how Ukraine looks like in the ongoing war with Russia, a Super power, with nuclear warheads but the Russian Leader would not take it. He has vowed to treat the arrested NATO and British soldiers as illegal Combatants in Russia ground and must be made to face the weight of the Law: execution as a deterrence to others who might want to indulge in such act in future.
Not many are surprised at the high -stake politics going at the global level, this time around linked to Zelensky of Ukraine who has an agenda: to join, NATO, and drag the EU and the US, into the war with Russia.
Many believes that if Putin was to have been the President of Russia in 2011, NATO, Forces would not have had the opportunity to enter Libya , which has become a shadow of itself, let alone to kill Col. Muammar Gadaffi, the country’s President, who had a bigger plan to form a United States of Africa, USA, with one International Passport, one currency , one foreign policy, a military Command and a loose Federation, as obtained in Europe .
Capt. Ibrahim Traore, the interim President of Burkina Faso, who appears to have raised the consciousness of Africans of the exploitation of the Continent’s gold, uranium, diamond, cobalt, Lithium and other rare earth elements by France and other Western nations including the US, Canada and Australia, for their own selfish ends and who is a staunch believer in a United Africa may have also been targeted for elimination by these Western Leaders to kill his dreams like Gadaffi.
President Trump’s insistence that the Burkinabe Leder, must hand over 60% of the country’s recent discovery oil reserves and gold deposits to the US, which analysts had said would stifle its fast- growing economy, which had been recognized by the World Bank/IMF, leadership speaks volume.
