”I Will Run An Inclusive Administration’’- Oba Kuoye Of Imasai Ancient Kingdom

The newly crowned Olu of Imasai Kingdom, Oba Kuoye Lukman Olalekan Adelke,  in Yewa North Local Government Area of  the south west state ofOgun, who has received his Staff of office from Dapo Abiodun, the All Progress Congress, APC, governor of the state  has assured the indigenes of the ancient kingdom that he would ‘’run an inclusive administration’’.

Oba Kuoye had, was said to have made the promise while receiving his staff and instruments of office from Abiodun, the state governor, who was said to have been represented by  Afolabi Afuape, the state Commissioner for Local Government & Chieftaincy Affairs, on Thursday. August 26, 2021.

While expressing his Appreciation to Governor Abiodun, and the entire members of the Ogun state Executives Council for the support given to him and the people of Imasai Kingdom, he  had solicited for ‘’the co-operation and unflinching support of all stakeholders towards a peaceful reign in the ancient Kingdom’’.

The former Prince of Imasai Kingdom, who had been crowned Oba was said to have singled out Governor Abiodun, particular, at the occasion for a special Appreciation.“I want to specially Appreciate our indefatigable Governor, His Excellency Dapo Abiodun, for standing firm in what he had believed in’’.  He had said to the applause of the people,  ‘‘This is a very important coronation, and I do not take for granted the trust you have all bestowed on me’’.  He was said to have assured the  governor that he will never have any regret for sleeting him as the Oba of the Imasai Kingdom in Yewa North Local Government Area of the state, noting that his unblemished track record of performance in the both the private and public sectors where he had worked in the past will stand him out in the development of the Imasai Kingdom.

Appealing for the support and Cooperation of those who had contested with him for the Imasai Kingdom Oba stool, and who has the interest of peace and community stability at heart to steer clear of any act that can put the name of the Imasai Kingdom into disrepute, he  disclosed that it is the only way to bring development nearer to the people.

 The new Oba of Imasai Land may have gladdened the heart of the people when he enjoined his rivals to be partakers in the development of the ancient Kingdom’’ instead of polarizing the people into different Camps.  This may have informed why he had declared his Coronation as the beginning of ‘’A new season in Imasai Land’’.

Oba Kuoye , who is, from  the Oyesokun Ruling House,  who had emerged victorious during the selection process conducted by the traditional chiefs in the Yewa North Local Government Area  under the strict supervision of officials of Egbado North Local Government officials in Ayetoro in June, 2021, boasts of a wealth of experience in both the public and Private sectors spanning over two decades;. Tit is not surprising why the people of the Imasai kingdom are unanimous in their belief that’’ the new Imasai Land traditional ruler reign will usher in an era of peace and development in the town’’.

Until his selection to step into the stool of his forefathers, Oba Kuoye had worked with the National Identity Management Commission, NIMC. He had also served as Special Assistant to Former Governor Gbenga Daniel and was also a former Secretary and Vice-Chairman, Transition Committee of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area.

While presenting the staff of office to Oba Kuoye, the Commissioner for Local Government & Chieftaincy Affairs, Afuape was said to have urged the new Olu of Imasail Land ‘’to cooperate with other traditional rulers in Yewa Local Government Area, particular, Oba Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle, the Olu of Ilaro and other Paramount Rulers of Yewa Land, including members of the Yewa Council of Chiefs.

 The Commissioner would also want the Olu of Imasai Land ‘’to see his ascendancy to the stool of his forefathers as a call ‘’to serve and to ensure that there is always peace in Yewaland and Ogun State in geneal.

He had asked  the Kabiyesi ‘’to give his unflinching support to the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun state with a view to prove the confidence reposed in him’’.
