This is not the best of times for officials of the Nigerian Immigration Service, NIS. This is because of the news making the rounds that foreign terrorists and their Nigerian Collaborators using the neighbouring West African country of Niger, Maradi and Gao routes to approach Nigeria and attack Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, between December 17 and 31, 2021.

The Information may have leaked out to the Presidency which alerted Rauf Aregbesola, a former governor of Osun state and now minister of Interior, who in turn, had taken up the matter with Isah Jere, acting Comptroller General, NIS.

Acting on the Intelligence security alert, the NIS, had issued a Statement, signed by one  Edirin Okoto, Commander,  Land Border Patrol, about the planned attack on the FCT, using the Niger Republic land border  routes in order to put the security agencies personnel on the red alert.

To ensure that the  Foreign terrorists and their Nigerian Collaborators will not enter the country unawares to Launch  the planned attack on the African Continent  fastest growing City, the NIS Authorities have urged the  military, Force, Nigerian Customs Service, NCS, Department of State Security Service, DSS, Nigerian Intelligence Agency, NIA and other security agencies  to put in place all the necessary measures at the country’s Land borders, International airports and the sea/marine routes across the country.

The NIS Authorities had said that initiating such measures  is the only way to ‘’to ensure  proper Surveillance , rigorous search on persons and vehicles, transhumance , to effectuate  the immediate arrest  of these foreign terrorists as to countervail  any foreign terrorists attacks in Abuja’’. The NIS,  had reported that the planned terrorist attack  on Abuja , was led  by one  Drahmane Ould Ali,  popular, Mohammed Ould Sidat, an Algerian  noted terrorist  who is working closely with  one Zahid Aminon,  a Nigerienne national .

Not many are surprised at the plannedForeign terrorists attack on Abuja. Mohammed Bazoum, the Niger Republic, President may have given an insight on how the Bandits Group, now a terrorist Organistaion, as declared by an Abuja Federal High Court, in  Abuja  find their way into Nigeria to Launch attack and escapei to the forests.

This is because their modus of Operandi , are not different from the Islamic Fundamentalist Group, BokoHaram and the Islamic State of West African Province, ISWAP, in the north east states of Borno and Yobe  including those operating in other  member countries of the Sahel region, particular, Mali, Mauritania, and late Mummar Quadafi home country. Libya.

Bazoum: President Of Niger Republic

The Nigerienne President had told Bello Massari, a former Speaker of House of Representatives and governor of Ktsina, President  Muhammadu Buhari, a retired Army General, home state, that the Bandits turned terrorists  across Niger who enter Nigeria to Launch attack and go, are coming from  Madawa, and Bayan Dutsi regions  but escalated  to the country north west geopolitical region states of Zamfara, Kaduna, Katsina, Sokoto, Kebbi and the north central state of Niger through the Maradi and Gao regions’’.

President Bazoum may have tried to stop the foreign terrorists from his home from entering Nigeria to kill and go by requesting  the regional governors  ‘’to implement  the total ban  on the importation  of motorcycles into Nigeria which serves  as a means of transportation  for the terrorists  across the regions  border Communities but that was how far he could go.

Given an insider information on  how the terrorists had  planned to enter Nigeria and find their way to Abuja to Launch theplanned  attack  to throw the city into  confusion,  Okoto, the NIS, Land Border Commander  had said that the Foreign terrorists  are coming through Gao, in Niger, riding  a white  Toyota Hilux van with Registration No. AG157EKY.

The NIS Commander had said that Ali, who holds an Algerian Diplomatic Passport with the name Najim Ould Ibrahim, and Aminon,  a Nigerienne, who are leading the Foreign terrorists in the planned attack on Abuja  are working closely with four Nigerians  who are already in the country to perfect the plan.

The Paramilitary security agency had reported that the planned attacks are not limited to the military personnel alone and urged Nigerians to report any suspicious movement in their vicinity to the security operatives for immediate action.

Given that the planned Foreign terrorists attack on  the FCT that had leaked to the Presidency, who  had alerted the NIS and which in turn alerted other security agencies, may have informed why the Katsina state born Nigerian President  conveyed an emergency National  Security Council, NSC, at the state Hose,’’ to review the current security  situation in the country’’. Among those t the meeting were Vice President Yomi Osinbajo, Ibrahim Gambari, a Professor and Chief of Staff to the President, Babagana Munguno, a retired Major General and National Security Adviser, NSA, and Lucky Irabor, a General and Chief of Defence Staff, CDS.

Others are Lt.Gen. Farouk Yahaya, Chief of Army Staff, COASA, Air Marshall Olayinka Oladayoo Amao, Chief of Air , CASA, and Hajia Hindatu Bashir, wife of the Aide De Cmp, ADC.

Baba: IGP, orders Round-The- Clock Police Patrol Throughout the Country To Guarantee A Peaceful Christmas And New Year Celebration

Already Usman Alkali Baba, the Inspector General of Police,  has ordered Commissioners of Police, in the 36 states of the Federation and the FCT, as well as their  supervisory Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIGs, ‘’to initiate  and implement  well-coordinated  strategies  to ensure  round –the –clock  visibility Patrols towardsa  peaceful Christmas and New Year celebrations in the country’’.

He had urged Nigerians’’ to keep police emergency phone lines handy or contact  the nearest Police station  in the event of any untoward  situation that may pose  threats to public peace, safety and security’’. This is bad news for the Algerian and Nigerienne  led Foreign terrorists plotting to attack Abuja, the pride of the African Continent.

Notwithstanding the planned attack of the Foreign terrorists on Abuja, the Nigerian President had said on Thursday, December 24, 2021, at Maiduguri, Capital of Borno state, that the country is on the last phase of crushing the terrorists and Bandits Group across the country.

He was said to have urged the troops of Operation Hadin Kai, ‘’to remain steadfast as they go into the final phase  of the Campaign  against insurgency and other forms of Criminality’’  within the nooks and crannies of the country.
