Religion: Lagos Set For Green Worship,Holds Benefit Concert

 The Worship for Change Community in Lagos, the nation’ commercial nerve centre and center of excellence appears set to host the 2024, Green Worship, described as Worship for change as it holds benefit concert. It was said to have been slated by the Organisers to hold on October 1st, which was said to have ccoincided with the country’s 65th, Independence anniversary, under the present, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Administration.

 An insider confirmed that the annual Green Worship .0, benefit concert, that is being organized by the Worship for Change   is geared towards raising awareness and support for indigent children, orphans and children  with special needs.

The concert, which is organized by the non-profit organization annually, the source hinted, is expected to hold at the prestigious   Balmoral Convention Centre, Sheraton Hotel, Ikea, Lagos. Wale Adenuga, a Clergy man and Chief Responsibility Officer, CRO, of the religious body, Worhip for Change, had said that the concert is expected to raise N100million which will be distributed   to SIX special schools, located in Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Rivers and Adamawa, home state of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, during Olusegun Obasano’s Administration.

Given an insider information, Pastor Adenuga, the CRO, had listed the schools that are xpected to befit from the 2024, Worship for Change concert for fund raising to include Gilead Initiatives, Ikorodu, and Bethesda Scool of the Blind, both in Lagos, Flora Trust Foundation, Ago Palace Way, Ogun state, Agbedare esus Care Foundation, Ibadan, Oyo state, Gold Gate Missions, Adamawa and Jesus Orphanage, PortHarcourt, Rivers state.

Speaking ahead of the event, the Worship for Change Clergyman was said to have called on public-spirited individuals   and Corporate Organisations ‘’to support the cause by attending the free concert and donating generously’’.

He noted that besides the donations at this year’s benefit concert show, the Organisation will be having a 21 days of giving   in the month of October, 2024. ‘’Our hope is that this Campaign will enable the Worshp for Change, which is non-profit Organisation ‘’to raise more tangible support for the children we seek to help’’, he had said.

 Recall that over the last few years, the Worship for Change benefit Concert show   has raised and disbursed N130 million to 40 Charity Organisations across the country, including Lagos, thus directly impacting thousands of underprivileged  children across the 36 states of the Federation and the FCT.

There are indications that Charity Organisations such as Joy  in Africa Foundation, Asaba, Delta state, Let Cerebral Palsy Kids Learn Foundation , Lagos, Sechilde Centre, Abuja, and To Omo Re Centre, Ilorin, Kwara state,  were said to have benefitted  from  the funds raised from the 2023 concert show. Each of the pecial school  were said to have got N8.25 million, the Worship for Change , CRO, had said.
