UBA Wise Savers Draw: And The Winners Are ……

It is no longer news that twenty more winners had emerged in the third Consistent Wise savers  draw  of the global financial giant: United Bank for  Africa, UBA.  But what is news is the sustenance of the  draw the last three quarters of 2019 and the redemption of its financial pledge  to winners.  Each of the twenty winners were said to have left  with a cheque of N1.5 million.This  brings to 60 people that had shared  N90 million made available for its Wise  savers draw in the last three quarter of 2019.  

 The  good news was that the draws were witnessed by officials of the National Lottery  Regulatory Commission, NLRC, and  the Lagos Lottery Board including  Kemi Adebiyi,  Group  Head of the Bank Transaction and Electronic Banking and Lashe Osoba, Head Brand Management.  The officials of the Bank  External Affairs Relations Department   Headed by Nasir Olrewaju Ramon,  were on  ground  last Wednesday to watch the proceedings at the Bank Head office building , Marina , Lagos.

  Note that   a  Staff of  the Value News was invited , an indication that there was a absolute transparency  in the selection of Customers  that qualifies for  the NLRC, approved  draw. The criteria  for qualifying  the draw going by repeated messages  to Customers  across the country  was to have at least N30,000.00 in any UBA Savings Account or installments of N10,000.00 each  for a period of three months.

Investigation by The Value News shows  that  the  lucky  winners who had emerged  in the  well organized and supervised draw by the relevant government agencies , both at state and level,  cut across  the six geo-political regions of the Federation.  And the winners areYusuf Mohammed, Anuoluwapo Elizabeth, Babatunde  Temidayo Ruth, Christian Emetole,  Nwabufe Ikeagu, Omoye Amieenheme, Ogechukwukanma Okh,  Akeyemi Abidemi Betty, Okoro  Chukwuma ,Chukwu  and  Chukwu Patricia Nnena.

Others were Adejoke Olarinoye,  Fatoki Hassan, Nwokocha Ikechukwu Emmanuel, Owolanke  Kole Emmanuel, Ferreira Adesola Afolatomi, Emmanuel Omogui, Uzoigwe Anthonia, Elesin Titilayo Oluwabunmi,  James Suleiman Umar  and Lawan David Nahinokan.  A winner of  the N1.5 million, UBA, largesse, cited by  Value News  could joy hide her Joy as  she  expressed  her  appreciation to  Kennedy Uzoka, the  Group  Managing Director of UBA, and his Management team, for turning her  into millionaires overnight.

She  would want the  uzoka and his Management  to  sustain the  draw which has become a national event because of its popularity among Customs  who are very happy  with the Bank for devising a way  of rewarding  loyal Customers.

The   UBA  Wise Savers draw  which Commenced  last September , according to the Bank sources , would be concluded ,September this year, where another set of twenty winners  are expected to  emerge that  would bring the total number of winners  to 80 Customers  and the amount dolled by the Bank for the draw to N mill120ion.

Jude  Anele, the Bank Group Head, Consumer and Retail Banking, noted that since  the  Bank initiated the draw last September, the level of response of Customers and the general public  had been very encouraging, an  which shows   that’’ the purpose for  UBA Wise Savers Campaign was not a waste’’.

He revealed that  that there had been remarkable increase  in the number of participants  in each edition of the draw.  An elated Anele, noted that  ‘’it is very easy to spend money  but to save is a habit  that must be imbibed’’. The UBA Head of Consumer and Retail Banking who could not hid his feelings disclosed that  the key objective  of the promotional exercise was basically to’’’ support  and encourage Customers to save’’.

Appealing to Customers who had not saved well to qualify them for the draw in order to join the millionaire Club to take advantage  of the opportunity provided in the final phase of the draw next September to participate as it may be their turn to win mouth watery amount .

Sampson Aneke,  Group Head,  Transactions and Electronic Banking , on his part said  ‘’there is  no better  time to give loyal   Customers their reward than now  that the country is facing harsh economic situation  where people  need all the necessary support  they can get  to make life more meaningful’’.

It is not surprising why the Bank may have decided to prioritise its Customers by giving them plenty to cheer about  and the subsequent emergence of another twenty  winners in third quarter of the draw. The maintains that the promo was consistent  with the Bank’s  bold initiatives in priritising Customers  because of its unflinching belief in their contribution to the growth and development of the Bank  He assured that the Bank would not relent  in supporting Customers , noting they are impressed   with the impact  the promotional  draw    has made  to the Bank so far.

Financial experts  said  UBA under the closewatch of Uzoka has a lot  going for it  that it has every reason to reward loyal Customers.  The shares of the Bank which are traded at Nigerian the Stock Exchange Market are rushed by Customers . This may have informed  why  the Bank  has diversified  its  shareholderbase , which includes institutional investors  .
